Mexican Cilantro Black Beans

Yields 4-6 servings

  • 2 cups dry black beans 
  • 1 onion, chopped 
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil 
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped 
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder 
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika 
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin 
  • 1 tablespoon salt 
  • 3½ cups water 
  • 1 lime, juiced


  1. ADD the beans, onion, olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and water to Cosori Pressure Cooker.
  2. SECURE THE LID on the pressure cooker, making sure the pressure release valve is in the lock position.
  3. SELECT Beans/Chili, adjust to “More/High”, and press On/Start.
  4. NATURAL RELEASE for 15 minutes when done cooking. Release any residual pressure that may be left in the machine and carefully remove lid. Add the juice of one lime and mix Well.
  5. SELECT Sauté/Brown and press On/Start. Cook to reduce the liquid as desired, stirring occasionally..
  6. TASTE and adjust seasonings if desired.
