Pesto Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 c fresh basil leaves (from about 3 large bunches)
  • 1/3 c pine nuts, walnuts, or almonds, untoasted
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 c olive oil
  • ½ c parmesan
  • salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS 

  1.  Combine basil, pine nuts, and garlic in the blender.
  2. Add oil in increments between blends.
  3. Add cheese and blend until completely smooth.
  4. Check for seasoning and adjust with salt as desired.
